Genesis 26 At Peace

Genesis 26

In the early verses of this chapter – the Philistines envied Isaac. So much so that the king of the Philistines, Abimelech, sent him away because of his hard feelings toward Isaac (v 12-16).

Fast forward to the end and Abimelech went to Beersheba where Isaac now lived. The king had come to recognize that the Lord was with Isaac and he now desired peace. They exchanged oaths and this time Isaac sent him away but this parting was, in fact, in peace (v 26-31).

The whole time I read this chapter, I kept thinking of Proverbs 16:7.

👉 When a man’s ways please the Lord, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

Happy Monday, friends. Be kind out there.
