A Proverb a Day (9/31)

The woman named Folly is loud and knows nothing. That is what today’s proverb tells us. And isn’t that just the way of the world?

The foolish. The easily angered. The opinionated. The finger pointer. The always offended. The never satisfied. The unforgiving. The joyless. The self-centered. The self-promoting. The spotlight seeker.

They are just so stinking loud.

And, because they are loud, people listen.

Yet, if we analyzed their words and studied their messages, we would find that it all lacks substance. They know nothing of truth.

Who am I listening to: the Lord’s voice or the loudest voice?

“And after the earthquake a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire the sound of a low whisper.” 1 Kings 19:12
