Exodus 29
This chapter covers the sacrifices required on behalf of the priest. I know I have said this several times in this reading of Exodus but – it mattered how the people approached God. It really mattered.
The proper sacrifice had to be made. The aroma of a pleasing sacrifice had to rise before God.

It is a pleasing aroma…verse 18
A pleasing aroma before the Lord…verse 25
For a pleasing aroma…verse 41
The aroma indicated to God a proper sacrifice which allowed the priest to be in His presence. Now, hold that thought and jump to 2 Corinthians 2:15.
“For we are the aroma of Christ to God…”
Today, it still matters how we come before God. The aroma of a pleasing sacrifice still must rise before him. But, our aroma is not of a bull or goat. Christ was the ultimate, perfect, and forever complete sacrifice. We, too, are able to enter God’s presence because of the aroma of a pleasing sacrifice.
You are my beloved Son, with you I am well pleased. Luke 3:22
