Fruit in Every Season

It’s easy to slip into survivor mode. Not concerned with anything except making it through the current trial as unscathed as possible.

We live with an ”when I get through this” attitude believing THEN we will be less stressed, less overwhelmed, more able to serve God, etc.

The Lord promises more than survival in hard times; he promises fruitfulness. There will be visible evidence of His hand upon us and of Him at work around us.

Joseph looked around at all the Lord had done while he had been enslaved and imprisoned and said, ”Look what God has done in the midst of my affliction!” (Genesis 41:52)

Jeremiah promises that, if we trust the Lord in times of affliction, we will never cease to bear fruit and that we need not fear or be anxious. (Jeremiah 17:7-8)

The psalmist says that the one who delights in the law of the Lord yields fruit and prospers in any season. (Psalm 1:3)

Don’t waste your time in the wilderness. It is not to simply be endured; it very well may be the place where you experience more spiritual growth and more of the Lord’s presence than you ever imagined.
