My girls are growing up. No matter how many times I ask Emily to just be my baby again…it’s not going to happen. In her words..I would, Mommy, but I don’t know how to get back in your belly…I’m too big to fit back in your mouth. Apparently, she thinks I just spewed her out of my mouth. I should probably correct that misconception some day.
You see, Emily is turning into a young lady before my very eyes…
Oh…the eye roll…I thought I wouldn’t see that until middle school.
Then…there’s Ella. My baby…
Okay…she’s not really a baby either. Yes, they are growing quickly. So, when I read this verse today…I thought of them.
And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved me may be in them… – John 17:26
More than anything else, Lord…I want to declare to them Your name. I want the beauty of the Lord to be upon them. I want them to see the passion I have for you and want the same for themselves.
I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. – John 17:15
Yes Lord Yes. May it be the same for my son Jonathan! May he see the love I have for you and want it for himself.
Thank You for bringing this to my mind this morning!
Blessings – Lisa
Amen! I love it when it says.. “Father, protect them by the power of your name—the name you gave me—”
Jn 17:11 (I think).
God Bless!
Stacy,
This photo of you with your girls is absolutely precious! Priceless!
