After six chapters of very detailed instructions on how to create everything from curtains, to tables, to lamp stands, God then told Moses that he had already equipped the people to do the task. Don’t you know Moses was giving a big ol’ sigh of relief!
This chapter reminds us that God specifically equips his people to successfully accomplish the work he has for them. Just look at all he did for Bezalel.
👉 He chose Bezalel specifically for this task (verse 2.)
👉 He gave Bezalel everything he would need to complete the task beginning with the very “Spirit of God” (verses 3-5.)
👉 He provided people to work alongside Bezalel (verse 6.)
👉 He surrounded Bezalel with able and gifted people to do the necessary work (verses 6-11.)
Can I let you in on a little secret? God still equips his people today. Whatever God has called us to – he has gifted us to do.
👉 He has placed other people in our lives to teach and guide us (Ephesians 4:11-12.)
👉 He has provided us with insight and wisdom through his Word (2 Timothy 3:16-17.)
👉 He has personally equipped us with “every good thing” needed to accomplish his will (Hebrews 13:20-21.)
I love taking Old Testament passages and connecting them to New Testament passages. It’s a beautiful reminder that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Whatever He has called you to do today, friend, he has gifted you to accomplish his will.
