Exodus 21:1-22:15

My undergraduate degree is in Criminal Justice. Perhaps that’s why this section appealed to me so much. Just look at all the crimes these laws addressed.

Premeditated murder
Kidnapping
Assault
Restitution
Prior knowledge of potential danger
Negligence
Theft
Arson
Robbery
Property damage

First, there is nothing new under the sun (Ecclesiastes 1:9.) The world is not more evil than it has ever been. The sky is not falling. God had to set these laws in place from the beginning for a reason.

Second, the greatest legal minds have coined terms, crafted laws, and congratulated themselves for concepts that God outlined for his people from the very beginning.
