Revelation 19:1-21
Sometimes, we just need a really clear view of Jesus. A reminder of who he is.
👉 Jesus (v 11-16):
• faithful and true
• judges in righteousness
• sharp sword in his mouth
• king of kings and lord of lords
• will rule with a rod of iron
• clothed in a robe dipped in blood
• a name only he knows
• called “the word of God”
• on his head many crowns
• seated on a white horse
• eyes like a flame of fire
👉 The fourth blessing of Revelation:
Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb (v 9).
I love the sounds of supper. The footsteps that come running when it’s ready. The oohs and ahhs when the meal is something everyone loves. The clinking of glasses and the clanking of plates. The daily recaps and chatter. The “Can you pass me this?” And “Can I have more of that?”
Can you even imagine – one day – when the sky rolls back like a scroll – angels and elders are singing “Hallelujah (v 1, 3, 4, 6)” – Babylon and all that it represents has fallen.
And Jesus says, “Supper is ready.”
Yes, Lord. I’ll take some of that. Please and thank you.
Happy Saturday. You are loved.
