Revelation 10:1-11
👉 A Mighty Angel (v 1-3)
• coming down from heaven
• wrapped in a cloud
• rainbow over his head
• face like the sun
• legs like pillars of fire
• little scroll in his hand
• right foot on the sea
• left foot on the land
• loud voice like a lion
👉 …do not write it down… (v 4)
God reveals and he conceals. There is much that is only God’s to know (Matthew 24:36).
👉 …take it and eat it… (v 9)
We must internalize God’s Word before we verbalize it. Meditate before we speak. Let the Word enter our minds and hearts before it exits our mouths. (Ezekiel received a similar instruction in Ezekiel 3:1-3.)
👉 The message was bittersweet (v 10). There is judgement and there is mercy.
