Luke 19:28-40 Jesus Journeys to Jerusalem

Luke 19:28-40

👉 Jesus marched on to Jerusalem (v 28).

This is powerful because he knew exactly what awaited him there – the cross.

What an amazing love Jesus has for us that he – knowing the pain that was waiting – continued to put one foot in front of the other.

Now, in our love for him – knowing the glory that is waiting – we must continue putting one foot in front of the other as we make our way to the heavenly Jerusalem.

👉 There were disciples and Pharisees in the crowd that day. The disciples began to rejoice and praise because of the mighty works they had seen Jesus perform (v 37).

The Pharisees wanted Jesus to silence the praise of the disciples (v 40).

Don’t let your praise be silenced. If you have seen the Lord do mighty works in your life – let it be known. I don’t know about you – but I don’t want the rocks to have to cry out because I chose to remain silent (v 40).

Happy Monday. You are loved.
