Luke 12:13-34
Do not be anxious about (v 22):
• your life
• what you will eat
• your body
• what you will put on
This passage has always spoken to my heart – my anxious, prone to worry heart. There is something so sweet and tender in Jesus’ words.
Do you see his reasons for why his children do not need to be anxious?
- Your Father knows that you need these things (v 30.)
Think about that. Your Father – who loves and cares for you – knows what you need. He is not unaware.
AND…
- It is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom (v 32.)
Not only does he know what you need here on earth, it is his pleasure to give you all of that AND the kingdom.
We do not have to worry about the things of this world. Jesus said, “Seek the kingdom, and these things will be added to you” (v 31).
The Lord knows what we need and it is his pleasure to provide for us.
You are loved by your Father in heaven.
