Luke 1:57-80 What does the Lord want from me?

Luke 1:57-80

“Lord, what do you want from me?”

Have you ever wondered that? Uttered those words in desperation?

If so, I hope this passage brings you peace.

Here is what God did…

• visited and redeemed his people (v 68)
• raised up a horn of salvation (v 69)
• spoke by the mouth of the prophets (v 70)
• saved us from our enemies (v 71)
• showed mercy (v 72)

👉 SO THAT WE…

{here is our part}

might serve him without fear, in holiness and righteousness before him all our days (v 74-75).

What does God want from you?

Serve him without fear and live righteously before him all your days.

One other thing that stood out to me this morning.

Her neighbors and relatives heard that the Lord had shown great mercy to her and they rejoiced with her (v 58).

👉 Do we rejoice when the Lord shows great mercy to others?

We certainly rejoice when WE receive great mercy. Are we as excited when others receive it?

Food for thought.

Happy Wednesday, friends.
