2 Corinthians 7 Two Words That Change Everything

2 Corinthians 7

Paul said that he endured affliction at every turn (v 5). Fighting without – external struggles. Fear within – internal struggles. Does anyone relate? 🙋‍♀️

Then he wrote those two powerful, change everything words (v 6).

But God.

With a mere word – God creates something out of nothing (Genesis 1).

With a mere breath – God brings life where there was death (Ezekiel 37).

With his presence (2 Corinthians 6:16) – God brings overflowing joy in the midst of affliction (v 4).

But God.

It changes everything.

NOTES FROM CHAPTER 7

👉 Because we have the promise of God’s presence within us, we cleanse ourselves from every defilement – external and internal (v 1).

👉 Notice he doesn’t say “live and die together” but “die and live together.” Because that’s how it works for believers. When our time comes to die – life has just begun (v 3).

👉 Godly grief leads to salvation. This is conviction. Worldly grief leads to sorrow. This is condemnation. (v 10)

Happy hump day, sweet friends!
