2 Corinthians 1:1-11 Nine Things to do in the Midst of Affliction

๐ŸŽ‰ Itโ€™s time for our 11th book together – 2 Corinthians ๐ŸŽ‰

2 Corinthians 1:1-11

{Keep in mind – just like 1 Corinthians – this is a letter from Paul to a specific church body in Corinth. He is writing to fellow believers.}

I loved this little passage about affliction and comfort. โ™ฅ๏ธ

  1. We look to God for comfort (v 3).
  2. We learn to comfort others (v 4).
  3. We trust that there is comfort equal to the suffering (v 5).
  4. We patiently endure (v 6).
  5. We maintain unshakable hope (v 7).
  6. We do not hide our afflictions from fellow believers (v 8 ).
  7. When our affliction feels like death – we rely on the One who raises the dead (v 9).
  8. We set our hope on the faithfulness of God (v 10).
  9. We believe in the power of prayer (v 11).
