Isaiah 64 Four Consequences of Continual Sin

Isaiah 64

FOUR CONSEQUENCES OF CONTINUAL SIN (v 6)

  1. We become like one who is unclean. {The idea here is to be as a leper. One who is to be avoided.}
  2. Even our righteous actions are unclean. {God knows our hearts.}
  3. We begin to grow weak – like a leaf separated from the tree. {Sin separates us from God – our source of strength.}
  4. We are carried away by the power of our sin. {Sin – like wind – is stronger than we think and has the ability to carry us places we never thought we would go.}
