Isaiah 47-48
The ungodly chase after and try to find security in:
• pleasure (47:8 )
• pride in personal power or accomplishments(47:8 )
• worldly thinking (47:10)
• ungodly counselors (47:13)
• fickle friends (47:15)
But what they will never have, the Lord says, is peace (48:22).
If they would only have obeyed God’s commandments, they would have been given (48:18-19):
• peace
• righteousness
• blessings on future generations
Is what I’m pursuing giving me peace?
The path to peace is obedience.
