Isaiah 24
The Lord will bring judgement and no one – regardless of income or social status – will be exempt.
people / priest
slave / master
maid / mistress
buyer / seller
lender / borrower
creditor / debtor
And – no matter the person – the cause and effect scenario is the same.
CAUSE (v 5)
• transgressed the laws
• violated the statutes
• broken the covenant
EFFECT (v 6-12)
• earth is cursed
• inhabitants suffer
• mourning and languishing
• bitterness and brokenness
In the end, all will know that the Lord of hosts reigns (v 23)!
