Isaiah 2:6-22
The people had become prideful. They placed great value in worldliness, wealth, and wrong worship.
The problem was that the Lord was ( and still is) against ALL haughtiness and pride.
The silver and gold. The treasures and idols. The horses and chariots. It would all pass away and be cast away when faced with the only thing of true value: the splendor of the Lord’s majesty.
“Stop,” Isaiah warns, “looking to man.”
Stop exalting man made foolishness.
Stop finding your value in possessions.
Stop. Stop. Stop.

Lord, be lifted high.
As my kingdoms fall.
Once and for all.
Once and for all.
