This made my day, thank you for sharing your insight. I love the story of David and Goliath. It’s one of my favorites. We can do all things through God who strengthens us. Reading the bible and listening to others online and in church has given me perspective on David that I enjoy thinking about! David was anointed at 17 years old in front of all of his brothers, think about that sibling rivalry. He was appointed at 37… it took 20 years of him patiently waiting. In between time he was bringing lunch to his brothers. He was playing his harp in the palace, observing and learning protocol on how to be a king without even realizing it. He was a shepherd, not a kingdom ruler, God was taking time for him to be developed. Talk about patience and faithfulness. It took 20 years from anointing to appointing. That lets us know that if God assigns us , He will find us. God was strengthening him for what was to come. Because when it was time to face Goliath, the troops were scared. The soldiers were asking how they can kill Goliath because he’s so big! David was saying, guys, how do we miss him because he’s so big! Definitely let us know to change the questions and our outlook on situations! We need to learn to flip the script. If the devil can’t distract us, he’ll try to discourage us.
