David knew hardship. He knew loneliness. He knew pain.
How David Felt:
• crying out (v 1)
• pleading for mercy (v 1)
• complaining (v 2)
• troubled (v 2)
• faint in spirit (v 3)
• path was difficult (v 3)
• lonely (v 4)
• brought low (v 6)
But David also knew some other things. He knew deliverance. He knew steadfast love. He knew faithfulness.
So, in the midst of darkness, he could say (v 7):
• The Lord will deal bountifully with me.
• The Lord will deliver me.
• Others will be blessed by my deliverance.
• This will end in me praising the name of the Lord.
