Psalm 140

David addressed two types of harm in this psalm.

👉 verbal attacks (v 3)
👉 physical attacks (v 4)

And he asked for protection from both. The enemy had violent hands and a sharp tongue. Just another reminder that words cause wounds.

We also have three beautiful promises.

1. The Lord will maintain the cause of the afflicted (v 12).
2. The Lord will execute justice for the needy (v 12).
3. The upright shall dwell in the presence of the Lord (v 13).
