Psalm 120 In My Distress

Psalm 120

In my distress…

{in my need, my anxiety, my trouble, my adversity – physical, mental, social, or economic}

…I called…

{shouted, named, proclaimed, summoned, uttered in a loud voice, requested, appealed}

…to the Lord…

{Yahweh, God, Master}

…and he answered me.

{replied, gave evidence of his hearing, testified, responded, reacted}

This is an example of how I may take one verse that speaks to me and break it down by segments. Sometimes just drilling down on one word can make a verse come alive.

Whatever your “distress” looks like, you can call out to the Lord. He answers.
