Psalm 112
What does a righteous person look like?
• A righteous person fears the Lord (v 1).
• A righteous person delights in God’s Word (v 1).
• A righteous person has his or her needs met by the Lord (v 3).
• A righteous person is able to discern the right path (v 4).
• A righteous person is gracious (v 4).
• A righteous person is merciful (v 4).
• A righteous person is generous (v 5).
• A righteous person is just (v 5).
• A righteous person is unafraid of bad news (v 7).
• A righteous person trusts the Lord (v 7).
• A righteous person gives to the poor (v 9).
Two things happen when we live this way:
- We are blessed by the Lord (v 1).
- We are hated by the enemy (v 10).
When we live righteously, we should expect (not be shocked by) angry opposition from the enemy. But we should also expect to be blessed by our Father in heaven who sees and knows all.

By the grace of God I am so blessed to say that of the 11 characteristics of a righteous person I live by 10 of them, with the one (being afraid of bad news) much less today that in my early walk with God. I am 69 years old and at the age of 9 did I accept the Lord as my Saviour!
I would like to comment on “A righteous person has his or her needs met by the Lord “(v 3).
Why does God makes a difference between “my needs” for example and my brothers “needs?”
We are both blessed to be saved by God’s grace, but God blesses him abundantly and me only the bare necessity?
Am I wrong to feel this way?
I have thought of this many many times during my life! I pray for healing and God tells me to wait! He prays for healing and soon he is healed?
