Psalm 108
David was in the midst of a battle (v 6). He needed delivered. He needed saved. He needed an answer. {Someone wants to say, “Amen.”}
It matters how we respond to our battles. In this psalm, we have a six step battle plan.
Step 1: Remain devoted to the Lord (v 1).
Step 2: Praise the Lord with all we have (v 1).
Step 3: Be grateful (v 3).
Step 4: Remind ourselves of the Lord’s love and faithfulness (v 4).
Step 5: Seek God’s glory (v 5).
Step 6: Cling to God’s promises (v 7).
The enemy will attempt to paralyze us with fear. Immobilize us with uncertainty. Cause us to retreat because we feel incapable. But do you want to know the beauty of this six step battle plan? It has nothing to do with us and everything to do with our God who has promised to always be with us.
Onward, Christian soldiers
