Psalm 96
So much uncertainty in the world. When will the pandemic be gone? Who will lead our country? And, then, there are the countless uncertainties in our individual lives.
Today, let’s choose to focus on the certainty of Christ and his return.
Then shall all the trees of the forest sing for joy before the Lord, for he comes, for he comes to judge the earth (vs 12–13.)
Twice – the psalmist declares, “For he comes, for he comes.”
It made me think of the gospel song, The King is Coming.
O the king is coming.
The king is coming.
I just heard the trumpet sounding
And now his face I see
O the king is coming.
The king is coming.
Praise God, he’s coming for me.
Whatever happens today, tomorrow, or next week – the sun will still rise, seasons will still change, and the King is still coming.
