There are pumpkins on my porch.
There are autumn leaves on the ground.
There’s a chill in the air.
There are PSLs on the menu.
And, yet, this rose bush refuses to quit blooming. Lush and green and alive though all around it is dying.
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7-8
Keep trusting the Lord, friends.
Keep trusting and keep blooming though the world around you turn cold. Though others give in, give up, and let go. Hold fast and grow.
