Psalm 89
I loved the imagery of the Lord being surrounded by his faithfulness. Of his steadfast love and faithfulness always going before him.
God is love (1 John 4:8.)
God is faithful (2 Timothy 2:13.)
You see, God can’t be removed from his love and faithfulness. It’s the very essence of who he is as God.
God promised that his steadfast love and faithfulness would be with his servant, David, and that it would never be removed (vs 24, 33.)
There will be times when trials come and we may feel like those things are no longer ours (vs 49) – but that is when we go with what we know.
God is faithful.
God is love.
Everything else must be viewed in light of these truths.
