Psalm 81
The Lord longs to be gracious to us. He delights to give us good things.
The psalmist reminds us that, if we would only listen and obey, we would enjoy the Lord’s presence, protection, and provision. And he grants these things in abundance!
But, when we fail to listen and obey, he gives us over to our own hearts and counsel.
I don’t know about you but I don’t want my own way. Sure, in my flesh, I think I do. But, y’all – His way is always better.
Trust and obey.
For there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus
But to trust and obey
