Psalm 7: From Pain to Praise

Psalm 7

Unlike psalm 6, David is now undeserving of the troubles he is experiencing. Think of a time when you’ve been wrongly accused, misunderstood, or criticized unfairly. It can be really painful.

What are we to do in those situations?

👉 We can trust that God’s anger burns hot against the wicked (vs 6.)

👉 We can trust that God is completely aware of our innocence in the situation (verse 8.)

👉 We can trust that God will defend us appropriately and perfectly (verse 10.)

👉 We can trust that God will punish the wicked (verses 12-13.)

👉 We can trust that God is completely worthy of our praise (verse 17.)

Do you see how David did it again? How the act of praying took him from pain (“save me” vs 1) to praise (“I will sing praise” vs 17.)

Pain 👉 Prayer 👉 Praise
