Jesus comes to the pool and sees the multitude of invalids. And he sees the man who had been lame for thirty-eight years. Something jumped out at me today when I read this passage.
When Jesus saw him lying there and knew that he had already been there a long time… John 5:6
Jesus knew how long he had already been suffering.
How long he had been overlooked, ignored, and ostracized.
How long he had been discouraged, defeated, and downtrodden.
Jesus knows where you are right now and he also knows how long you’ve been there.
He sees you and he has always seen you.
Jesus knows how long.
Deep in my soul this touched me. Jesus sees. He knows No one else matters
Yes! He sees and knows. And I need to know that so badly at times.
