The Lord said to Gideon, “The people with you are too many for me to give the Midianites into their hand, lest Israel boast over me, saying, “My own hand has saved me.” Judges 7:2

When we feel weak or ill-equipped, perhaps God is about to do something amazing that He doesn’t want us to take credit for or boast about.

Heart check: Do I want people to praise me or do I want them to look at me and know that “only God” could have made it happen. Do I want to be used by God or praised by man?
