“Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.” Proverbs 13:20

It is said that we become the average of the five people with whom we spend the most time. It matters who we align ourselves with and who we allow to speak into our lives.

Look at Luke 6:12-13. What did Jesus do all night prior to choosing his inner circle? He prayed. All night long. Are we that prayerful about our companions?

Lord, help us to surround ourselves with wise, godly individuals who encourage us to be more like you.
