Yesterday, my FaceBook status read, “Sometimes, your day begins with cleaning poop off of the kitchen floor.” That was 8:00 a.m. I would love to say that the day got better but, truth be told, it did not. In reality, it ended with me giving the kids an early bath so that I could drown my sorrows in cherry cobbler.

I tell you this for two reasons:

1. I believe in being authentic.
2. I believe in choosing joy.
