Life was a ball full of laughter and lace.
I stood all alone feeling quite out of place.
The music was loud and the people danced fast.
I was frozen watching everyone pass.
~~~~
Insecurity always held me back.
Certain, was I, that they would all laugh.
Yet, one day, Someone came.
With eyes so tender, He called me by name.
~~~~
There was something about the way He looked at me.
He saw the woman He had created me to be.
Suddenly, I found myself following Him close
no longer content to hide in the shadows.
~~~~
I was never the belle of the ball.
I was the wallflower nobody saw.
Then Christ came and asked me to dance
and my poor heart never stood a chance.
A wonderful poem with a wonderful message!
