Trusting Him

I say that I trust God.

However, I have been thinking about it a lot lately and I am afraid that my idea of trust may not be in line with God’s definition.

I keep going back to Abraham…Leave it all and go where I send you…

And Noah…Build a boat…

And Simon, Andrew, James and John…Leave your nets, your livelihood, and follow me…

Even the Apostles…I will rise again…

Following God has always required trust.  God never said to someone…Let me show you what I can do so that you’ll trust me.  That is not trust at all.  God’s way is…Trust me and I’ll show Myself faithful.

It has occurred to me that trust always precedes provision.

Am I waiting for God to provide so that I can trust Him?  Or am I going to trust my God and watch Him faithfully provide.

Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good;
         Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!
– Psalm 34:8

  1. The more you trust Him, the more faithful you KNOW Him to be. God is so good.., all the time! Faithful is His name!
