It’s just been one of those days…
I tossed and turned and could not sleep. The alarm went off at 4:30 a.m. and I could have cried. I prayed for the 7,521st time that I could just stay home already.
I tiptoed down the hallway passing the rooms of two precious sleeping girls…only to scream at the sight of some scary looking birthday balloons floating around in my kitchen. They were creepy looking in the dark…seriously. So, Ella is instantly awake and demanding a wo-wo (waffle)…not to be confused with go-go (her paci.)
Then, Emily is awake and there are three two tired and not happy girls.
Somehow, I manage to get all of us dressed and ready to go. As I am picking up the lunch boxes, I see a note reminding me that today is Pajama Day…you have got to be kidding me. Lunch boxes down…run to the bedroom…find clean jammies…she could not just wear the ones she slept in because, well, that’s just too easy.
So, now we are running out the door…again…twenty minutes late now…all of us just a tad stressed. Emily falls in the mulch, gets the knees of her jammies dirty…
Back into the house…
I finally made it to work…quite a bit…just a tad late. I’m not sure how I got here…the morning was a blur…
I’m pretty sure everyone brushed their teeth…
At least everyone left the house fully dressed…that makes it a good day.
