Gratituesday: Silly Kids

As I enjoyed a nice long weekend with my family, on several different occasions I found myself laughing out loud at something the girls were doing or saying.

Ella has started copying everything Emily does.  Now, when Emily is misbehaving, this is not good.  However, when Emily is running through the house with no clothes on and beating her chest like Tarzan…and Ella follows suit…Hilarious!

Recently, Emily has decided that the word “eyeball” is the funniest word in the entire world.  And it makes other words funnier as well.  For instance:

Em:  Hey Mommy, I see an eyeball truck.  Ha ha ha ha ha.  I said eyeball truck.  Did you hear me, Mommy?  Eyeball truck!  Ha ha ha ha ha.

Me: Eyeball truck?  Did you say eyeball truck?  That is SO FUNNY!

I just love to hear them laugh.  It warms my heart and makes me feel like, for one brief moment, all is right with the world.  So, today, I am thankful for kids who are happy and healthy and absolutely silly!

  1. Eyeball trucks are pretty cute, though I am still partial to “oom bahs.” 😛 (That’s a school bus, for those of you who don’t speak toddler.)
